The health, safety and security of human and canine participants at the High Desert Cluster Dog Shows is always our highest priority. On March 15, the CDC recommended for the next eight weeks organizers cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States. That recommendation ends on May 10, during the middle of the shows. It is expected the state of New Mexico will follow those guidelines and extend current emergency orders. With deep sorrow on March 16, the member clubs of the High Desert Cluster Dog Shows reviewed the CDC recommendations and voted unanimously to cancel the 2020 shows. We also determined postponing the shows until later in 2020 is not practical. Affected AKC approved events are listed below.
